Got this question a couple weeks ago and didn’t have the answer. Just found it out. If you distribute a single and then include that single on an upcoming EP/ album release, to maintain play counts in streaming services make sure you use the same ISRC # from the first single release. Every distribution company will have the ISRCs assigned to each release. Just go into your distro account (CD Baby, DistroKid, Tunecore, whoever you used), select the single release and grab that ISRC #. Then when distributing your album, allow the company to assign ISRC #s for all songs on the release EXCEPT the song(s) that have already been released and input that/those ISRC #. Make sense?
